Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well reviewed by various music websites. She's recorded a variety of well-known cover songs, including Half the World Away (by Oasis) for the Christmas advert. Celebrate the special occasion. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in her attic, and being captivated by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to make music as a means of development of her own, not to earn a living or as a hobby. This led to her started writing songs of her own. She acknowledges Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as her main influences. Her mother was supportive of her performing her music publicly, not to be famous, but to help others realize that they matter and what they can do for the world. The piano was first played by her when she was just six and was writing her first song at the age of nine. It was not until she turned 14 that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora's accomplishments were never her goal. Her only passion is to compose music. She says that music is her favorite way to feel anything.
