Morgan appeared in a film on AIDS education and prevention, Safe Sex for Men and Women. The proceeds from the film was donated towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the chief fundraiser for other projects and also gave testimony to a special Congressional panel on AIDS awareness. Morgan is a part of the Board of Governors of APLA, and of Amfar's Board of Directors. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has requested her to be his substitute in AIDS occasions and has hosted an AIDS Awareness Special together with news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell asked her to make appearances on Nightline with regard to AIDS. Morgan was awarded an Emmy Award in Diane English's exclusive Murphy Brown episode that was created specifically for Morgan. In the spring, she appeared as Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer was kicked off by Murder At The PTA Luncheon. Productions like Von Zerneck/Sertner also featured Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. Next, she was sent to Luxembourg for Harmony Gold's Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee also appeared in the show. Morgan was also the sole actor in the USA Network's psychological suspense-thriller and earned most impressive ratings they have ever recorded.
